About Me

"I started singing for as long as I can remember. Little did I know that a small hobby would lead to something much bigger"
Originally from Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, Jayla Emilie relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2011. She began singing at a very young age and later fell in love with songwriting.

Surrounded by music her whole life, Jayla draws inspiration from her father, a musician and singer-songwriter. Under his guidance, she learned how to play guitar and essential musical knowledge.

"Looking back, it’s no surprise that I'm doing music for a living. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. Around 10 years old, I wrote my very first song. It was one of the only things that truly mattered to me. It was something consistent that provided me comfort in difficult times.
Although people in my life have come and gone, music is something that I will always have. It became my therapy, a source of immense passion" (Jayla Emilie).

Currently pursuing a commercial songwriting degree at Middle Tennessee State University, Jayla has set her sights on a future in Nashville. After graduation, Jayla aspires to write songs not only for herself but also for fellow artists and various media projects such as movies and TV shows.
